HISTORY

Incorporated in 1975, The Belden Company has completed thousands of jobs in all aspects of the construction industry. From large multimillion dollar jobs down to the smallest job we have crafted a level of workmanship and experience that is evident in every job we do. An idea that was born out of the Belden family’s involvement with the Pico Ski Area has grown into a company that offers a wide array of construction and excavation services. As the majority partner at Pico from 1965-1987, Bruce Belden along with sons Kent and Kurt spent their days doing all the maintenance and construction associated with the upkeep of a prominent ski resort. Realizing they could perform these services for others and seeing an undermanned industry, The Belden Company was born. With the humblest of beginnings, the company has grown over the years with a simple theme; hard work, quality workmanship and a safe work environment.  A concept instilled in his sons by Bruce, who at 83 years old still comes to the office every day. What began with a single truck in 1975 has evolved into a successful construction company with a long history of customer satisfaction.
